Born in Yorkshire, Worksop Notts based Norman has been painting for a good 40 years.

He paints oils and watercolours amd prefers to work on location "Plein Air" most of his subjects are derived from the peak district of Derbyshire, North Wales, Norfolk Coast and his favourite The Yorkshire Dales. He is a member of the Worksop Society of Artists, and a member of the well known Grindley Group of Artists.

He has exhibited in Buxton, Derby, Mansfield & Hull art galleries and The Palace of Westminster.

He has won many awards around the country, the latest being The SAA Award for Best Painter at the Thorsby Hall, Nottinghamshire Open Art Exhibition, October 2009.
